Motion changed to accept amended minutes as are outlined in 1- 4 above. <br />VOTE: Unanimous to approve <br />2. Budget Update and Submission of the Schematic Design: <br />T. Elmore reviewed the copy of the budget summary that was reviewed with the Lexington <br />School Committee, pointing out that the Project cost of $65.28 Million was voted and <br />unanimously approved by the Lexington School Committee on the 6th of June 2017. He also <br />had provided a copy of the Table of Contents of the Schematic Design submission that would <br />be delivered to the MSBA on June 29th, if the PBC voted tonight to have the OPM and <br />Designer submit the schematic design, at a budget of $65.28 Million. <br />The committee asked a few questions about the make-up of the Total Project Budget <br />numbers and the Value Engineering process going forward. T Elmore explained that once <br />this number has been agreed to with the MSBA, we can continue to look for ways through the <br />value engineering process to reduce the cost. As we go through the next steps and phases <br />we will continue to find Value Engineering items to be added to the list for review. It was <br />noted that the number for the project with the MSBA is capped once the MSBA Board <br />approves the Schematic Design Submission and issues/executes the project funding <br />agreement. The budget can go down, but not above the agreed upon project budget amount. <br />Motion to authorize the OPM and Designer to proceed with the submission of the <br />Schematic Design to the MSBA, for a total project cost of $65,280,000 as approved by <br />the Lexington School Committee on June 6th, 2017, by Howard Hobbs, and 2nd by Phil <br />Coleman. <br />Discussion: None <br />VOTE: 6 for the motion; 0 against, 0 abstentions <br />Motion Passes. <br />(Certification of the vote was signed by the chair) <br />3.
