46 <br /> 1) Money be spent ($223) for framing and mailing of <br /> Liberty Bills to the U S President and governors <br /> of the states and territories <br /> 2) Letter be sent to Mr Loring in appreciation of <br /> his work on the Liberty Bill <br /> 3) First 200 Liberty Bills be kept in charge of <br /> special distribution by the Celebrations Committee <br /> 4) 1000 envelopes with theme printed on be ordered and <br /> used for special mailing purposes ( $11 50 ) <br /> 5) Each child in public schools be given 5 Liberty <br /> Bills on Friday, April 13 <br /> 6) Liberty Bills be available to adults in the public <br /> libraries and the Town Office on Monday, Tuesday, <br /> and Wednesday (April 16, 17, 18) <br /> 7) A tricorne hat be presented to Nelson Bragg of WBZ <br /> for publicity on his Swan Boat program <br /> 8) Celebrations Committee purchase a dozen tricorne <br /> hats ($18) <br /> 9) Printing on the float awards ( silver plates) read <br /> FLOAT AWARD <br /> First <br /> "Let It Begin Here" <br /> April 19, 1956 <br /> 10) Notify the Board of Selectmen by phone and then by <br /> mail that we recommend that the sale of the Liberty <br /> Bills be given to the Chamber of Commerce and that <br /> the funds be used to defray any expenses and then to <br /> be spent on building, repair, and preservation of <br /> historic landmarks and possessions of the Town of <br /> Lexington <br /> 11) Mrs Cheever is to arrange the distribution of the <br /> Liberty Bills to the school children of Lexington <br /> with Mr Poehler <br /> He asked that all be present for a short meeting <br /> next Tuesday night, April 17, after which he would <br /> like to meet with all the marshals and their aids <br /> The meeting adjourned at 9 :45 p.m <br /> Edith B Cheever, Secretary <br />
