45 <br /> TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE <br /> April 10, 1956 <br /> The fifteenth regular meeting of the Town Cele- <br /> brations Committee was held on the evening of April <br /> 10, in the American Legion Room. All were present <br /> ( at least for part of the time) except Mrs Litchfield <br /> and Mrs LaPorte The minutes of the second special <br /> meeting were discussed ( April 3) and corrected as <br /> follows next to the last paragraph cross out after <br /> the word sample "for --- Woburn" and change to "of play <br /> money as a basis of her idea " After the last sentence <br /> in same paragraph write "It was voted to use $200 for <br /> this project if it could be done <br /> Mr Lewis asked all members of the committee to <br /> pick up their arm bands from Mr Hutchins and be sure ARRANGE- <br /> to meet the morning of the 19th in front of the Follen MENTS <br /> Church at 6 45 a.m to march as a group in the Sunrise <br /> Parade He warmly thanked all the members of the <br /> Celebrations Committee for the splendid help and cooper- <br /> ation in preparation of the BIG DAY <br /> Mr Gustin moved that a tricorne hat be pre- <br /> sented to Miss Duncan MacDonald of WNAC as "Minute WNAC <br /> Woman" because of devoting time on her program (Yankee <br /> Food Show) to publicize Patriot's Day Next Tuesday <br /> Mrs Cheever will drive Mrs Bernier and the two high <br /> school students (William Abbott and Brinna Baird) to <br /> her station for an interview from 1 15 - 1:45 p.m He <br /> also told us that a Boston writer, Mr Munson., was <br /> interested in publishing a story in some magazine, <br /> such as Life, Look, and McCall He explained that he <br /> had ordered 50,bU Liberty Bels for $150 and that <br /> speu...m1 a.rl, work would cost from ju to Su dollars The <br /> designing was done by Mr Loring for a service as his <br /> part in the celebrations <br /> Mr Lewis gave a brief report on the short <br /> visits he and Mrs Cheever had had with both the Board <br /> of Selectmen and the P T A Council on Monday evening <br /> as to the printing and distribution of the Liberty <br /> Bills He had acceptances from Tufts and Boston Uni- <br /> versity and we made arrangements to add them in the <br /> Roster <br /> The rest of the meeting was devoted to pro's <br /> and con' s of distribution and future plans for the LIBERTY <br /> Liberty Bills The following were final motions BILLS <br />
