5 <br /> 1) Invite the clergymen of the Town to mention or preach <br /> about United Nations on October 23 <br /> 2) Contact the art teachers in the schools to have the <br /> school children prepare posters <br /> 3) Have the pupils in the schools submit essays on <br /> United Nations and have one from each of the three <br /> classes of schools; i e , Elementary, Junior High, and <br /> High School printed in the Lexington Minute-man <br /> 4) Obtain a speaker on the United Nations to explain how <br /> it functions, using the Junior High School Auditorium <br /> 5) Ask the Selectmen to have the flags displayed on <br /> United Nations Day <br /> 6) Plant a tree - perhaps back of the Minute Men Monument <br /> and dedicated to Julius Seltzer <br /> It was decided to invite Mrs. Pigford as repre- <br /> sentative of the League of Women Voters and Miss McIntyre, <br /> representing the schools to be present at our next meet- <br /> ing <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was <br /> adjourned at 9 30 p.m <br /> Lewis Kennedy <br /> Recording Secretary, pro tem <br /> l . <br />
