EXCERPT OF THE TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br /> ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br /> HELD MONDAY, MARCH 18,2024, 7:30 P.M. <br /> CARY MEMURIAL BUILDING—BATTIN HALL <br /> WITH ADJOURNED SESSIONS HELD <br /> MARCH 20,22,27, and APRIL 1, 3, 8, 10,24 <br /> ARTICLE 39 HUME RULE PETITIO�TO ADJUST THE NUMBER UF ON-PREMISE WINE <br /> AND MALT ALCHOHOL LICENSES <br /> MOTION: Mr. Lucente moves that the Select Board be authorized to petition the Massachusetts General <br /> Court to enact legislation in substantially the form below for the purpose of authorizing the Select Board, as <br /> the local licensing authority,to issue additional licenses for the sale of wine and malt beverages to be drunk <br /> on the premises in the Town of Lexington, and further that the Select Board be authorized to approve <br /> amendments to said act by the General Court before its enactment that are within the scope of the general <br /> obj ectives of this motion. <br /> An Act authorizing the town of Lexington Five additional Licenses for the Sale of Wine and Malt <br /> Beverages. <br /> Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rep�esentative in Gene�al Cou�t assembled, and by the autho�ity <br /> of the same, as follows: <br /> Notwithstanding section 17 of cha�ter 13 8 of the General Laws, the licensing authority of the town of <br /> Lexington may, in addition to any other licenses it is entitled to grant, grant up to 10 additional licenses for <br /> the sale of wine and malt beverages only to be drunk on the premises pursuant to section 12 of cha�►ter <br /> 13 8.
