She will send flyers to Committee <br />members about the Holi Festival that will take place at Hastings Park and the Multiple <br />th <br />Pathways to Success program on June 10 at LHS. <br />rd <br /> Lisah reported on the Sustainable Energy Workshop at Cary Library on May 3. If the <br />town can get 1200 people to do energy audits, the town will receive a $45,000 grant. <br /> Nancy will work on a meeting schedule for next year. <br /> <br />5. Programming at the Community Center <br /> Special Events: <br />th <br />o Tom reported that the end of summer party will be held this year on August 25. <br />th. <br />The Cradles to Crayons Toy Drive will continue until Saturday. April 29 <br />A CEL grant has been submitted for CPR courses. If funded, the grant would allow <br />for 8 classes (2 per season) that are open to anyone and also a Train the Trainer <br />course. <br />In the fall, the SADD club from LHS will offer a Games Night and a Haunted House. <br />o Dana Home Grant application update: <br />The Forever Fit program will be funded again. <br />o Human Services Update: <br />Hemali reported that the Volunteer Appreciation luncheon was held today. There has <br />been over 10,000 volunteer hours this past year. <br />A program initiated by a Girl Scout Gold Award project will provide tech support for <br />seniors on an ongoing basis. The plan is to have the program continue with other students <br />in the future. <br />There will be a Duck Tour in August for Grandparents and Grandkids. <br />A Tall Ships trip is planned. The trip is full. There is no way to add an additional bus <br />because of space constraints in Boston. <br />Charlotte is working on a Friends Book rotation for the CC. Wendy Carleton and Dick <br />Moscow go to the library to rotate the books the last Wednesday of each month. <br />Nancy is reaching out to the library to start of rotation of books for the newly set up <br /> <br />A new staff member will be hired to replace Kelly Axtell, who is now working in the <br />ce. <br />The was a Suicide Information Program that was offered in response to recent student <br />suicides. It was attended by over 150 people. <br /> <br />6. CCPAC 2018-2019 Goals <br />o Nancy did a preliminary set of goals for our committee. We discussed what might be <br />added. It was decided to add reaching out to other communities about programming at <br />their Community Centers to get ideas for what we might do. We will also focus on <br />increasing awareness of our committee and to solicit feedback and suggestions from <br />members of the community. <br />o Sheila suggested that we consider holding a Meet and Greet at the CC for our committee <br />to interact with the community. It was also suggested that we have some way to solicit <br />suggestions. <br /> <br />7. <br />th <br />o ld on April 11.
