REPORT OF TOWN CLERK 119 <br />Water Construction, Bedford Street, and Mass. Ave. to <br />Water Construction, Sundry Streets Account. <br />Carried 8:16 P. M. <br />Selectman Charles E. Ferguson moves to take up Arti- <br />cle 16, presenting the following : <br />Article 16 Voted: That the Town accept the layout <br />as a town way of Robbins Road, from Locust Avenue to <br />Lexington Avenue, a distance of approximately 790 feet, as <br />laid out by the Selectmen, under the Betterment Act, and <br />shown upon a certain plan on file in the office of the Town <br />Clerk, dated January 16, 1937, and to take by eminent <br />domain the necessary easements therefor, and for the pur- <br />pose of constructing said street the sum of $5,400.00 be <br />appropriated and assessed, <br />Carried 8:17 P. M. <br />Selectman Charles E. Ferguson moves to take up Arti- <br />cle 17, presenting the following : <br />Article 17. Voted: That the Selectmen be authorized <br />to install sewer mains in such accepted or unaccepted streets <br />as may be applied for during the year 1937, in accordance <br />with St. 1897, Ch. 504, as amended, or otherwise, and to <br />take by eminent domain the necessary easements therefor, <br />and for the purpose of said installation the sum of $1,700.00 <br />be Appropriated and transferred from the Sewer Assess- <br />ment Fund. <br />Carried 8:18 P. M. <br />Selectman Charles E. Ferguson moves to take up Arti- <br />cle 18, presenting the following : <br />Article 18. Voted: That the Selectmen be authorized <br />to install water mains in such accepted or unaccepted streets, <br />as may be applied for during the year 1937 in accordance <br />with authority contained in the By -Laws of the Town, sub - <br />120 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />ject to the assessment of betterments, and to take by eminent <br />domain any necessary easements therefor, and for the <br />purpose of said installation the sum of $2,000.00 be appro- <br />priated, this money to be provided by the transfer of <br />$1,650.00 from the Water Assessment Fund, and the trans- <br />fer of $350.00 from the Water Department Available Sur- <br />plus Account. <br />Carried 8 :19 P. M. <br />Selectman Charles E. Ferguson moves to take up Arti- <br />cle 19 requesting same be indefinitely postponed, which was <br />carried unanimously 8:20 P. M. <br />Selectman Charles E. Ferguson moves to take up Arti- <br />cle 20. <br />Neil McIntosh offering the following motion: <br />Article 20. Voted: That the Board of Selectmen be <br />authorized to install a water main not less than six inches in <br />diameter in Shade Street from Weston Street, a distance of <br />approximately 800 feet, subject to the assessment of better- <br />ments, and to take by eminent domain any necessary ease- <br />ments therefor, and that for the purpose of said installation <br />the sum of $2,400 be appropriated, to be provided by the <br />transfer of said sum from the Water Department Available <br />Surplus Account. <br />Explanations by Neil McIntosh. <br />Question by S.
