REPORT OF TOWNCLERK 73 <br />Article 42. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />money for a power sprayer . for the use of the Moth and <br />Shade Tree Division. <br />'The Appropriation Committee recommends that the <br />sum of $1,100.00 be appropriated under this Article. <br />Article 43. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />money for a highway grader for the use of the Highway <br />Division. <br />The Appropriation. Committee recommends that the <br />sum of $4,500.00 be appropriated under this Article. <br />Article 44. To see if the Town will vote to install sew- <br />er mains in such unaccepted or accepted streets as may be <br />applied for during the year 1936 in accordance with author- <br />ity contained in the By -Laws of the Town, subject to the <br />assessment of betterments, or otherwise, and to take by emi- <br />nent domain the necessary easement therefor, and to appro- <br />priate money for said installation of mains by direct appro- <br />priation or by transfer from other funds. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted and that the sum of <br />$1,500.00 be appropriated and transferred from the Sew- <br />er Assessment Fund. <br />Article 45. To see if the Town will vote: to install <br />water mains in such accepted or unaccepted streets as ,may <br />be applied for during the year 1936 in accordance with <br />authority contained in the By -Laws of the Town, subject <br />to the assessment of betterments, and to take by eminent <br />domain the necessary easement therefor, and appropriate <br />money for said installation of mains by direct appropriation <br />or by transfer from other funds. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted and that the sum of <br />$5,000.00 be appropriated and transferred from Water <br />Dept. Available Surplus. <br />Article 46. To see if the Town will vote to authorize <br />the Selectmen to construct granolithic sidewalks where the <br />abutting owner pays one-half the cost, and provide funds <br />for said construction by direct, appropriation. <br />74 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted and that the sum of <br />$1,000.00 be appropriated. <br />Article 47. To see if the Town will vote to appropri- <br />ate money for the installation of granite curbing on the <br />westerly side of Bedford Street from Elm Avenue to a point <br />approximately two hundred (200) feet north of Newcomb <br />& Dailey's Garage. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted and that the sum of <br />$900.00 be appropriated. <br />Article 48. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />money for highway maintenance under authority of Chapter <br />90 of the General Laws. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends the sum of <br />$2,000.00 be appropriated under this Article. <br />Article 49. To see if the Town will vote to designate <br />by name the street extending from Hancock Street to Bed- <br />ford Street commonly known as North Hancock Street. <br />The Appropriation Committee makes no recommendation <br />under this Article. <br />Article 50. To see if the Town will vote to appropri- <br />ate money for Pleasant Street and Watertown Street land <br />damages resulting from the relocation or reconstruction of <br />said streets. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sum <br />of $1,050.00 be appropriated under this Article. <br />Payments are to be made as follows: <br />Patrick J. To see if the Town will vote to appropri- <br />ate money for the installation and maintenance of warning <br />signals at Fletcher Avenue at the Boston & Maine railroad <br />crossing. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that this <br />Article be indefinitely postponed. <br />
