To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />money for the unpaid bills for the year 1935 in the follow- <br />ing account: Law Department, $95,25. <br />The .Appropriation Committee recommends that the sum <br />of $95.25 be appropriated under the Article. <br />Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br />appropriate a sum of money for the improvement of Lincoln <br />Street; said money to be used in conjuction with any money <br />which may be allotted by. the State or County, or both, for <br />this purpose ; or take any other action in relation thereto. <br />The Appropriation Committee feels that it is advisable to <br />construct as much of Lincoln Street' as possible with the <br />funds now available. When this much is completed the <br />Town can then obtain an estimate as to the costof com- <br />pleting the construction of this street. The Appropria- <br />tion Committee accordingly recommends that this Article <br />be indefinitely postponed. <br />Article 26. To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br />appropriate a sum of money for the improvement of Water- <br />town Street; said money to be used in conjunction with any <br />money which may be allotted by the State or County, or <br />both, for this purpose; or take any other action in relation <br />thereto. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sum <br />of $1,200.00 be appropriated under this Article. <br />Article 27. To see if the Town will authorize the Se- <br />lectmen to install street lights in the .following unaccepted <br />streets: <br />Summit Road ; Cary Street ; Kendall Road; Hamilton <br />Road; Ledgelawn Avenue. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted. <br />Article 28. To see if the Town will vote to install <br />water mains in the following unaccepted streets, subject to <br />the assessment of betterments and to take by eminent do- <br />main the necessary easement therefor: <br />Blake Road, from the present end, to Preston Road.; <br />Preston Road from Blake Road to Simonds Road, <br />70 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />and to provide funds for said installations by direct appro- <br />priations, or by transfer from other funds. <br />Inasmuch as there are no houses on the sections of Blake <br />Road and Preston Road in which it is proposed to install <br />water mains the Appropriation Committee is opposed to <br />such extension. The Appropriation Committee according- <br />ly recommends that this Article be indefinitely postponed. <br />Article 29. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the <br />Tax Collector and Town Collector to turn over to the Town <br />Treasurer his collections daily. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted. <br />Article 30. To see if the Town will vote to amend the <br />General By -Laws of the Town of Lexington so as to provide <br />that the Tax Collector and Town Collector shall turn over <br />to the Town Treasurer his collections daily. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted. <br />Article 31. To see if the Town will vote to instruct <br />the Town Clerk to turn over to the Town Treasurer any or <br />all fees received by him as Town Clerk. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted. <br />Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to amend the <br />General By -Laws of the Town of Lexington so as to provide <br />that the Town Clerk shall turn over to the Town Treasurer <br />any or all fees received by him as Town Clerk. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted. <br />Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />a sum of money to defray the expense incurred by the Town <br />Counsel in the case of Ryder v Town of Lexington, which <br />pertains to Vine Brook Drainage. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sum <br />of $1,500.00 be appropriated under this Article. <br />
