REPORT DF TOWN CLERK 93 <br />SPECIAL TOWN MEETING <br />JULY 22, 1935 <br />Meeting called to order by the Moderator, Robert H. Holt, <br />at 8:12 P. M. <br />There were 182 Town Meeting Members present. <br />Town Clerk, James J. Carroll, read the Warrant for the <br />meeting* until further reading was unanimously waived by vote. <br />The Town Clerk read the Constable's return for the meet- <br />ing. <br />Under Article 1, Selectman Mr. Ferguson offered the fol- <br />lowing motion : <br />-Voted: That a committee of three, of which the Modera- <br />tor shall be a member, be appointed to have charge of the Cary <br />Lectures for the corning season. Carried Unanimously 8:15 <br />P. M. <br />Under Article 1, Mr. F. Fischer of the Committee of Eleven, <br />on increased High School Accommodations presents their re- <br />port, offering a motion the report be accepted and the Commit- <br />tee discharged. Carried Unanimously 8:16 P. M. <br />The following report submitted : <br />94 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF <br />ELEVEN ON INCREASED HIGH <br />SCHOOL ACCOMMODATIONS <br />JULY, 1935 <br />The Committee, appointed in June, 1934, to wake a study <br />of the future needs for High School accommodations, has in- <br />cluded in its report the four following items: <br />A. <br />R. <br />C. <br />D. <br />Needs for increased High School Accomuiodatious. <br />Ways of Believing the Crowded Conditions. <br />Problems in Selection of Future Building Site. <br />Recommendations. <br />A. Needs for Increased High School Accommodations <br />The Annual Report of the School Committee for 1934 pre- <br />sents much information relative to the present needs of the <br />Senior high School. <br />The enrollrnent October, 1934 in the Junior High School <br />was 607 and the enrollment in the Senior High School was <br />637 making a total of 1241 pupils in the entire building.
