And the town so voted -78 in affirmative, 0 in negative. <br />ART. 12. Regarding publication of by-laws. <br />Alonzo E. Locke moved the indefinite postponement of Art. 12, <br />and the town so voted. <br />Later Mr. Locke moved to reconsider the above vote, and it was <br />so voted. <br />ART. I0. Building laws. <br />Under this article Arthur L. Blodgett moved that the code of <br />Building Laws be published in the Lexington Minute Man before <br />next meeting. Frederick L. Emery offered as a substitute motion <br />that the Building Laws be presented to the Attorney General for his <br />action, then printed and distributed with next Town Warrant, and <br />Mr. Emery's substitute motion prevailed. <br />After some discussion, it was voted that when this meeting <br />adjourns it be to May 12, 1911, at 7.30 p. m. <br />ART. 9. Relating to establishment of boards of survey. <br />Under this article Clarence H. Cutler moved that the town accept <br />Chapter 191 of the Acts of 1907. <br />Mr. Robert P. Clapp moved to adjourn, and it was so voted. <br />A true record. Attest : <br />CHARLES W. SWAN, <br />Town Clerk. <br />TOWN MEETING MAY 12, 1911 <br />ADJOURNED FROM MEETING OF APRIL 29, 1911 <br />ART. 9. On acceptance of Statutes relating to Boards of Survey. <br />45 <br />On motion of Charles H. Franks, Article 9 was brought before <br />the meeting. <br />Chapter 191 of the Acts of 1907 relating to powers and duties of <br />Boards of Survey was read in full by the Moderator. <br />Considerable discussion was held over acceptance of said chapter. <br />John Devine moved the indefinite postponement of the article. <br />This was opposed by Frank D. Peirce and Arthur E. Horton. <br />Wesley T. Wadman offered the following motion : "Voted, that <br />the town hereby accepts Chapter 191 of the acts of the General <br />Court of the year 1907. 4nd the town so voted unanimously. <br />ART. 14. Treasurer's salary. Alonzo E. Locke offered the <br />following : <br />Voted, That the sum of $760.00 be appropriated and assessed <br />for account of Town Treasurer, $700.04 of this amount being for <br />salary. And the town so voted. <br />ART. 10. Building laws. Under this article Frederick L. Emery <br />offered the following motion <br />Voted, That the town hereby adopts the by-laws regulating the <br />inspection, materials, construction, alteration and use of buildings or <br />other structures within its limits as proposed in the printed code <br />circulated by the committee in accordance with the provisions of <br />the revised laws already accepted by the town. <br />Several gentlemen spoke on the above motion. <br />Arthur L. Blodgett offered the following amendment : " In sec- <br />tion 4, paragraph 1, third line, insert after the words, 'any structure,' <br />as follows, 'except one story wooden buildings less than ten feet <br />square'." <br />
