31 <br />ART. 14. Voted, That the following amounts be appropriated <br />and assessed : <br />Assessors, <br />32 <br />ART. 19. Voted, That the sum of $875 be appropriated and <br />assessed for necessary repairs at the Town Farre. <br />$900.00 ART, 21. Voted, That the sum of $2,910 be appropriated for <br />the purchase of land situated in the rear of the Munroe School. <br />(Of this amount $700 is for salaries and $200 for incidental <br />expenses of the Board.) <br />Board of Health, <br />Care of Common, <br />Collector of Taxes, <br />$600.00 <br />200.00 <br />1,075.00 <br />(The salary of the Collector to be paid at the rate of $83.33* per <br />month from March Ist.) <br />Inspector of Meat and Provisions, <br />Voted, That for the purpose of raising atony to meet the appro- <br />priation of $2,910 for the purchase of land in the rear of the Mun- <br />roe School building, the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the <br />Selectmen, be authorized to issue the notes of the town, payable <br />$1,000 in one year, $1,000 in two years and $910 in three years, <br />with interest payable semi-annually at a rate not exceeding four per <br />cent. per annum. Vote unanimous. <br />ART. 22. Voted, That no appropriation be made for repairs <br />$120.00 upon the house upon the land owned by the town and heretofore a <br />part of the water works system, located on Lincoln street. <br />(With the recommendation that no slaughtering licenses be <br />granted unless applicant volunteers to pay cost of inspection, and <br />with the further recommendation that licenses be reduced to lowest <br />possible numbers.) <br />Police, 15.200.00 <br />(With the recommendation that the Selectmen appoint one addi- <br />tional policeman.) <br />Printing, $750.00 <br />Contingent, 1,000.00 <br />Voted, That a further sum of $1,000 be appropriated and as- <br />sessed, making a total of $2,000 for Contingent Account. <br />ART. 18. Voted, That the sum of $260 be appropriated and <br />assessed for necessary repairs upon Masonic Hall in the upper story <br />of the Town Hall building. <br />Voted, That the Selectmen be authorized to make immediate <br />sale, if a satisfactory price can be realized, of the house together <br />with not exceeding one acre of land located on Lincoln street and <br />being a part of the property heretofore a part of the water works <br />system. <br />ART. 25. Voted, That the sum of $6500 be appropriated to <br />meet the expense of necessary repairs in the Town Hall building, to <br />include new heating and ventilating system and to provide suitable <br />offices for the various town departments, such improvements to be <br />carried out under supervision of the Selectmen and the committee <br />heretofore appointed to act with them. <br />Voted, That before proceeding with any repairs upon the Town <br />Hall building the Selectmen be requested to procure different plans <br />or drawings of the proposed changes and appoint a public hearing <br />for the consideration of such plans. <br />
