15 <br />MEETING MARCH 2, 1908. <br />Meeting called to order by the Town Clerk at seven o'clock a. m., <br />who proceeded to read the Warrant. After reading Article 1, on <br />motion of George W. Taylor, it was unanimously voted to dispense <br />with the further reading of the Warrant. The Town Clerk then <br />read the return of the Constable thereon. <br />ARTICLE 1. On motion of George W. 'Taylor it was <br />Voted, To elect a Moderator by ballot; that the check list be <br />used, and that the polls be kept open three minutes. At the close <br />of the polls seven ballots had been cast, all for Edwin A. Bayley, and <br />he was declared elected and was sworn by the Town Clerk. <br />ARTS. 2 AND 3. Abram B. Smith and Charles W. Swan having <br />been appointed Ballot Clerks, were sworn by the Town Clerk and <br />receipted to him for a package said to contain 900 official ballots <br />for male voters and a package said to contain 300 official ballots <br />for female voters; also a check list for male and female voters. <br />Irving Stone and George I.. Pierce having been appointed Deputy <br />Ballot Clerks, were sworn by the Town Clerk. The ballot box was <br />shown to be empty, then locked, and _the key delivered to Charles <br />E. Wheeler, the constable in charge, and the Moderator then de- <br />clared the polls open. Nathaniel Nunn, William H. P. Hatch, <br />Patrick F. Iltacey. Bradley C. Whitcher, Samuel B. Bigelow, Fred G. <br />Jones, Sylvester P. Robertson and Ezra F. Breed having been ap- <br />pointed Tellers, were sworn by the Town Clerk. At 10.10 o'clock, <br />by order of the Moderator and Town Clerk, the ballot box was <br />opened and 300 ballots were taken out ; at 2.15 o'clock 200 ballots <br />were taken out; at 3.50 o'clock 100 ballots were taken out; at 4.40 <br />100 ballots were taken out. At the close of the polls at 5 o'clock <br />35 ballots of male voters and 142 ballots of female voters were taken <br />from the boxes. The check list used by the Ballot Clerks showed <br />the names of 735 male and 142 female voters checked. The check <br />list used by the Moderator showed the names of 735 mak and 142 <br />16 <br />female voters checked. The ballot box register stood at 735. After <br />the Tellers had completed their work the Town Clerk announced <br />the result as follows <br />TOWN CLERK—One Year. <br />George D. Harrington, <br />john Toomey, <br />Blanks, <br />And George D. Harrington was declared elected. <br />SELECTMEN—One Year. <br />Frank D. Peirce, <br />George W. Taylor, <br />William H.
