19 <br />MEETING MARCH 6, 1905. <br />Meeting called to order by the Town Clerk at 7 o'clock A. M. <br />On motion of Irving Stone it was voted to dispense with the reading <br />of the warrant. <br />ARTICLE 1. On motion of A. E. Locke it was <br />Voted To elect a Moderator, that the check list be used, and <br />that the polls be kept open two minutes. At the close of the polls <br />twelve ballots had been cast, all for Robert P. Clapp, and he was <br />declared elected and was sworn by the Town Clerk. <br />ARTS. 2 and 3. Abram B. Smith and Charles W. Swan having been <br />appointed Ballot Clerks were sworn by the Town Clerk and re- <br />ceipted to him for a sealed package said to contain 900 official <br />ballots for male voters, and a package said to contain 200 official <br />ballots for female voters. Also 2 voting lists. Irving Stone and <br />James A. Hurley having been appointed Deputy Ballot Clerks were <br />sworn by the Town Clerk. . The ballot box was shown to be empty <br />then locked and the key delivered to Charles E. Wheeler, the Con- <br />stable in charge, and the polls having been declared open the bal- <br />loting commenced. Samuel B. Bigelow, Charles M. Glass, B. C. <br />Whitcher, George 1.. Pierce, Louis L. Crone, G. Irving Tuttle, <br />Francis Locke and C. F. O'Connor having been appointed 'fellers <br />were sworn by the Moderator. At 10 o'clock, by order of the <br />Moderator and Town Clerk, the ballot box was opened and 200 <br />ballots were taken out; at 11.15 o'clock 150 ballots were taken <br />out; at 2.10 o'clock 100 ballots were taken out; at 2.55 o'clock <br />100 ballots were taken out; at 4.10 o'clock 100 ballots were taken <br />out; at 4.45 o'clock, on motion of George W. Taylor it was voted <br />to extend the time for closing the polls to 5.20 o'clock. At 5.20 <br />o'clock the Moderator declared the polls closed. After the close of <br />the polls 4 L ballots of male and 36 ballots of female voters were <br />20 <br />taken from the boxes. The check lists used by the Ballot Clerks <br />showed the names of 691 male and 36 female voters checked. The <br />Moderator's check list showed the names of 691 male and 36 female <br />voters checked. The ballot box register stood at 691. After the <br />Tellers had completed their work the Moderater announced the re- <br />sult as follows <br />TOWN CLERK—One Year. <br />George D. Harrington, 327 <br />Blanks, <br />And George D.
