13 <br />At 10 o'clock, A. M. Patrick F. Dacey, Henry A. C. <br />Woodward, Charles F. Nourse and Charles G. Kauffmann <br />were appointed and sworn as tellers by the moderator, and <br />on consent of the moderator and town clerk the ballot box <br />was opened and 200 ballots taken therefrom, and the tellers <br />commenced to canvass the votes. Subsequently, at 1.20 <br />o'clock P. M. 150 ballots were taken from the box ; at 4.20 <br />o'clock P. M. 150 ballots were taken out, and at close of <br />polls at 5 o'clock P. M. 40 ballots were taken out, making <br />540 the total number of votes that had been east, which <br />amount agreed with the register on the ballot box, and the <br />same number of names was checked on the voting lists used <br />by the ballot clerks and the moderator ; in addition 51 votes <br />were cast by female voters for school committee, in a sepa- <br />rate box, which agreed with the number of names checked on <br />the lists of female voters. Oa completion of the labors of <br />the tellers in canvassing the votes, the result was anuounced <br />by the moderator as follows : <br />FOR TOWN CLERK - ONE YEAR. <br />Leonard A.
