Minutes of November 17, 2016 <br />The minutes from the November meeting were reviewed and unanimously accepted. <br />2. Member Representation <br />• The Committee reviewed their tour of the Carriage House (CH) and how the space might <br />be used. Dan Palant talked to Marilyn Fenollosa from the Community Preservation Act <br />(CPA) committee to get some information on the CH. There are restrictions on the <br />building because of its history. <br />• Dan attended the Selectman's meeting and reported on a discussion about the potential <br />uses for the Pelham Property (PP). A possible idea being discussed is for the school part <br />of property to be used for the Lexington Children's Place (LCP) and the gymnasium and <br />cafeteria would be for municipal use. We discussed how the CH and PP could become <br />part of a Community Center (CC) campus. There are plans to establish roads to connect <br />the properties. <br />• Going forward, our committee will want to suggest possible uses for the CH and the PP. <br />We discussed some ideas. Lisah Rhodes suggested that the gym could be used for <br />Pickleball, Volleyball and Badminton for adults and the kitchen could be used for <br />cooking and nutrition classes. Other suggestions were for a cable production facility and <br />STEM classes. <br />• The Committee talked about how the committee can be more informed about what is <br />being discussed by other committees.
