Community Health and Infectious Disease Report: Director Cody informed the Board on <br />the various animal quarantine orders that were issued to prevent the possible transmission of <br />rabies due to dogs or cats biting humans, pets, and wildlife or from wounds of unknown origin. <br />Mr. Cody informed the Board about an upcoming health seminar. Across East Lexington, <br />Don Rivard will be presenting to Lexington residents an educational pest management Seminar <br />on December 9, 2015. Mr. Rivard will inform residents about what steps should be taken to <br />avoid pests in your home short and long -term. <br />Flu Clinic planning update: Director Cody presented the Board with the upcoming Flu <br />Clinic Schedule. The Director also informed the Board of the total amount of Flu vaccinations <br />given by age at the Lexington Public Clinics this year. As of this meeting 1,800 Flu vaccinations <br />have been administered. <br />The Environmental Health report was reviewed and the following topics were discussed; <br />Environmental Health Report was reviewed for various inspections conducted by the <br />Health Agent. Beijing represented by Ms. Xiao Feng Cherf, Manager and Ms. Maureen Lee of <br />Food Service Solutions discussed progress and recent inspection reports. The Board spoke to the <br />Beijing representative about the effects of no longer having a food consultant in their daily <br />operations. <br />State Sanitary Code Case Reviews: The Board reviewed the State Sanitary Code Case for <br />27 Vaille Avenue, 15 Diamond Road, 100 Adams Street, and 7 Graham Road. <br />27 Vaille Avenue; in the previous month, the presence of lead was found in the home, <br />along with several other State Sanitary Code violations. The case is currently ongoing, and the <br />landlord has been in contact with the Health Division to correct the violations in a timely <br />manner. The tenant has recently raised concerns of a lack of effort by the landlord to correct <br />violations. It is the tenants fear that these violations will be prolonged or possibly ignored. The <br />landlord has offered to break the current lease in order for the tenant to move out, while work is <br />underway. The said tenant has refused to accept this proposal by the landlord. <br />15 Diamond Road; the property owner submitted a request of extension to make repairs <br />for the State Sanitary Code Violations. "After much discussion about the State Sanitary Code <br />violations OTC dated October 9, 2015, the deadline to comply with the order was extended to <br />Lexington Board of Health Minutes, November 18, 2015 Page 2 of 4 <br />
