❖ New Council Member: Elizabeth Rozan introduced herself and <br /> volunteered to manage the website, once trained. <br /> Motion to welcome Liz Rozan as a new member <br /> Moved by Steve <br /> Seconded by Ashley <br /> Approved by all- Welcome Liz! <br /> ❖ Treasurer's Report: <br /> Steve confirmed that we are getting $ 6,000.00 from the town. The budget cycle <br /> starts in September, and early that month Steve will ask for more funding for <br /> next year. <br /> ❖ 2024 Grant Cycle Planning : <br /> Steve shared the 2 paragraphs with the local criteria for review. The language is <br /> identical to last year's. <br /> Motion to approve the local criteria <br /> Moved by Steve <br /> Seconded by Ashley <br /> Approved unanimously <br /> ❖ Grant Cycle Publicity: <br /> A press release was put in the Lexington Times by Ashley. We will also ask the <br /> new person in charge of Link to Lexington to share the Grant Cycle information. It <br /> will also be moved onto the first page of the website by Steve. Grants open <br /> September 1 to October 17th. <br /> We discussed opening grants to High School students. <br /> Steve will send a Doodle about having a date to begin reviewing the grant <br /> submissions.. <br /> ••• Survey: <br /> The survey has been discussed in a sub-committee ( with David, Marie - led by <br /> Claudia). We will cover a couple of points at our next meeting with Claudia. <br /> ❖ Porchfest(status update, publicity requirements) <br /> Eric and Lisa have been working on matching bands and porches. Right now we <br /> have 75 porches and 70 bands. We will cut back on some porches. <br />
