The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Tobacco Control Update: <br /> <br />No new update on tobacco control. <br /> <br />COVID-19 Update: <br /> <br />The Lexington Covid-19 data from the Health Office dashboard was provided to the Board. <br />Reports will continue to be provided until May 11, 2023. After May 11, 2023 State COVID data <br />will be available online at Mass.gov. <br /> <br />Health Staff Reports: <br /> <br />Staff provided their monthly reports, and there were no questions from the Board. <br /> <br />Directors report: <br /> <br />Ms. Belanger provided an update on the new commissioner for Public Health, Dr. Robbie <br />Goldstein. <br />Ms. Belanger and Ms. Coleman attended a Narcan training. <br />The Press release from Gov Healey announcing the end of COVID- 19 Public Health Emergency <br />in Massachusetts on May 11, 2023, was discussed. <br /> <br /> Ms. Belanger had been asked by the Town Manager’s Office how the Board intended to proceed <br />with meetings as the ability to hold virtual meetings was extended by the legislature until March <br />2025. Ms. Belanger discusses the options available to the Board, which are to remain remote, <br />hybrid, or in-person. Ms.Belanger’s initial response to the Town Manager’s Office was to remain <br />remote. The consensus of the Board members present is to remain remote, however, a final <br />decision needs to wait for a full Board decision. <br /> <br />Rabies Vaccine Waivers: MGLChapter140, Section 145b, (d)(i) <br /> <br />Ms. Belanger related to the Board that the rabies waiver letter had been sent for 3 dogs. <br /> <br /> <br />2 Welch Rd: <br />The outside of the property was cleaned by 24 Trauma to make it safe and so that no one gets <br />injured. <br /> <br /> <br />ServSafe Class: The class was held on March 20, 2023, and had 20 attendees. The Health Office <br />is planning to schedule more classes in the future as this class filled up quickly and there is a <br />waiting list. <br />
