●Steve will set up a meeting with Bruce who is one of the Arlington’s <br />Porchfest organizer. <br />●Organize a dance party.(We will need a dance band)-The cost could be <br />$3,000-$4,000.The venue for that band could be Hasting Park?Tower <br />Park (East Lexington)?The Stone building is a possibility,Munroe has a <br />backyard,Lexart has a large parking lot too. <br />−Fairy Homes (Ashley) <br />●The Garden Club is going to make fairy homes at their booth on <br />Discovery Day. <br />●Some schools will be putting fairy homes. <br />●There will be a puppet show at the Library by Puppeteer Margaret <br />Moody. <br />●A Scavenger hunt <br />Budget request :300 dollars (to make fairies) <br />Motioned Steve :300 dollars from town budget <br />Seconded :Anwell <br />All in favor. <br />−Bikeway Sculptures (Steve) <br />●This project should be done by June. <br />●Small sculpture installed near the visitor center (budgeted $3,000 but <br />will cost more) <br />●The Cultural District funding will be applied to that project. <br />●The sculptures will need approval because they will be installed on the <br />bikeway. <br />●6 submissions so far :We reached out to local artists and architectural <br />firms and we have 6 offers and we could complete all 6. <br />−Utility boxes (Steve) <br />●The new Utility boxes project just started.We had a small jury select <br />designs and we have 3 artists working on these designs .They are <br />supposed to be completed at the end of june. <br />●There is a project Manager. <br />●The 2,000 dollars are for the Curator and the artists.To be paid by the <br />end of June. <br />−Other projects : <br />●Outdoor Music Festival-Anwell will take the lead on that project. <br />●We should be planning the 250 anniversary.Other organization are <br />beginning to plan <br />●Dance around the world :March 2024 <br />●Next June :Garden Tour
