<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />FDA Grant -Update <br />Ms. McCartin reported that the Health office will use the FDA grant to sponsor a ServSafe class <br />for food establishments in Lexington. The grant funding will reduce the cost significantly. This <br />will allow up to 30 participants to attend the one-day class and provide the reading materials and <br />the physical test at the end of the class. <br /> <br /> <br />Tobacco Control -Update <br /> <br />Tobacco Inspector’s report was reviewed, and no significant questions from the Board. <br /> <br />Flu and COVID-19 Update: <br /> <br /> The Lexington COVID data from the Health Department dashboard was provided to the Board. <br />COVID test kits provided by the State are available at the Health Office, Community Center, <br />DPW, Fire, Police Stations, and Cary Library. As a reminder new shipment was received, that <br />has an expiration date of 8/18/2023. <br /> <br />Health Staff Reports: <br /> <br />The Board agreed to continue the COVID dashboard through the month of May, then <br />discontinue and refer to the Mass.gov Covid-19 update and information page. <br /> <br />Ms. McCartin provided the Board with inspection reports. Ms. McCartin discussed her software <br />experience with the inspection software WinWam and received positive feedback from permit <br />holders. <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Belanger reminded the Board of Health of National Public Health Week April 3 – 9, 2023. <br /> <br />Ms. Belanger discussion regarding the future of remote meetings after March 31st. <br /> <br />Ms. Belanger announced that the Health Office is now approved for the vaccine for children <br />programs through the State. This means the Health Office can now order childhood vaccines <br />from the State vaccine program and be able to work with schools and offer vaccines clinics. <br /> <br />Correspondence / Information: Mosquito <br /> <br />The Board suggested the Health Office informs the Waldorf Schools before spraying as it abuts <br />wetlands. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
