-16- <br /> ARTICLE 60. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to acquire <br /> for school and playground purposes a parcel of land consisting of about 2.9 <br /> acres, abutting the Maria Hastings School lot, and shown as lot "C" on a plan <br /> entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington-Mass,", dated June 2, 1956, Albert A. <br /> Miller, Wilbur C. Nylander, Civil Engineers & Surveyors, which is recorded <br /> in Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds as Plan No. 7 of 1957, said <br /> lot when acquired, together with lots "A" and "B" as shown on said plan and <br /> already acquired by the Town, to he added to and made a part of the Maria <br /> Hastings School lot; appropriate a sum of money therefor and determine <br /> whether the same shall be provided by the current tax levy or by transfer from <br /> available funds, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other <br /> in relation thereto. <br /> ARTICLE 61. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen, however <br /> constituted, at any time and from time to time to sell all or any part or <br /> parts of a certain small parcel of land hereinafter described that is a <br /> portion of the land that was acquired by the Town, in connection with the <br /> laying out of a portion of Grant Street, by an order of taking by eminent <br /> domain adopted by the Selectmen on June 2, 19147 and recorded in Middlesex <br /> South District Registry of Deeds, Book 711+2, Page 457 and by confirmatory <br /> deed from Charles G. Richards et ux dated June 18, 1917 and recorded in said <br /> deeds, Book 7147, Page 126, and that is no longer required for public <br /> purposes , and will specify the minimum amount to be paid for such conveyance <br /> or conveyances , or act in any other manner in relation thereto; said small <br /> parcel of land being situated on Grant Street near its intersection with <br /> Hayes Lane and being located between the northwesterly line of Grant Street, <br /> as laid out by the Selectmen and shown on a plan entitled "Plan of Grant <br /> Street Lexington Mass. " dated January 15, 1947, John T. Cosgrove, Town <br /> Engineer, and recorded in said deeds as plan No. 545 of 191+7 in Book 7125 <br /> Page 309, and the southeasterly line of Grant Street as it existed as an <br /> unaccepted street prior to said layout, all as shown on said plan. <br />
