- 6 - <br /> Article 31. To see if the Town will authorize the Moderator <br /> to appoint a building committee to proceed with the erection of a <br /> new High School on land acgzired by the Town for school purposes in <br /> June, 1946; to ,obtain bids on behalf of the town, and to authorize <br /> the School Committee to sign a contract for the construction of the <br /> same, and to provide for payment thereof by direct appropriation, by <br /> transfer from available funds, or by the issue of notes or bonds of <br /> the Town, or by a combination of any of these methods, or act in any <br /> other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 38. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Building <br /> By-Laws by adding tnder Article VIII Section 1, a new subsection (I) <br /> to read as follows: <br /> (I) No single family dwelling one story in height shall <br /> have a floor area of less than 700 square feet. <br /> No single family dwelling more than one story in <br /> height shall have a first floor area of less than 500 <br /> aquare feet, or a second floor area of less than 250 <br /> square feet. Of the second floor area at least 125 square <br /> feet shall have a head room of not less than 7 feet. <br /> No duplex house shall have a floor area of less than <br /> twice the required area for one family dwellings as stated <br /> in the preceding paragraph. <br /> No two-family dwelling shall have a floor area of less <br /> than 700 square feet per family unit including stairways. <br /> No trailer shall be used as a dwelling unless it con- <br /> forms with. the requirements of this Section and Section 29 <br /> of the Plumbing By-Laws, and Article XX of the Building By- <br /> Laws. <br /> Article '39. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning <br /> By-Law by striking out paragraph 18 of Section 3 and substituting <br /> ' therefor the following:-- At the junction of Marrett Road and School <br /> Street, Marrett Road and Lincoln Street, Lincoln and School Streets <br /> commonly known as "The Five Forks", a business district extending <br /> from the junction highways of the side lines of and upon both sides <br /> of all intersecting streets for a distance of 200 feet and for a <br /> depth of 100 feet from the adjacent street line in each instance. <br /> Article 40: To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By- <br /> Law by adding to the areas designated as C. 1, or commercial districts--- <br /> retail stores and other permitted businesses, the following area now <br /> designated under said Zoning By-Law as an R. 1, or one-family dwelling, <br /> a residence districts-- <br /> Beginning at a point on the westerly side of Waltham Street <br /> and the southerly end of the business zone as defined in para- <br /> graph 16 under C. 1 districts, thence running along Waltham <br /> Street S 12° 13' 50" E a distance of 160.34 feet; thence running <br /> S 69° 27' 0" W a distance of 207.92 feet; thence running N 11° <br /> 23' 50" W a distance of 293.40 feet; thence running N 78° 36' <br /> 10" E a distance of 101.45 feet; thence running S 12° 13' 50" E <br /> a distance of 101.45 feet; thence running N 77° 46' 10" E a <br /> distance of 100 feet to the point of beginning and containing <br /> 45,510 square feet more or less. <br /> 1 <br /> • <br /> • <br />
