AN ACT AUTHORIZING <br /> THE MINUTEMAN REGIONAL VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> TO LEASE LAND AND BUILDINGS <br /> SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 16 of Chapter 71, or any other general or special <br /> law, rule or regulation to the contrary,the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District <br /> ("the School District"), acting through its School Committee, is hereby authorized to lease public lands <br /> and buildings and parts thereof for periods of up to fifty years, and to enter into contracts for the <br /> design, construction, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, parking, and <br /> recreational facilities on land owned by the School District. <br /> SECTION 2.The School District may establish a receipts reserved for appropriation account for any <br /> revenue generated from leases authorized by Section 1.This account shall be used to offset the debt <br /> service payable on financing of the design and construction of a new high school, and in support of other <br /> capital improvement of the buildings and grounds of the School District. <br /> SECTION 3.This Act shall take effect upon its passage. <br /> 1046899v1 <br />
