o A good way to think about it is the comparisons to architecture —if
you only have stairs to a building, but if you put in a ramp on all
buildings then it universally helps all to access the building.
o ***Notably, the school is seeing kids see consistency in strong
academic performance, but they are seeing kids more impacted
by socialization -really trying to support kids via interaction and
problem solve together learning to come back together after so
many COVID improvement
e Climate survey looking to send out another one March in hopes—looking to make less complex
please forward any possible question ideas.
o The goal of this survey is to get a pulse check to see what have we missed as we look to
plan for next year.
Open Questions:
e Lunch protocol — In December we were looking to move kids back to tables, but after break
staff was worried about serge, but kids were on the floor and they were moving off their dots,
so moving back to tables made more sense due to our high vaccine rates and to benefit the
kids. Kids were asked to eat and try to not talk when mask was off, but once they finish eating
they can put their mask back on. However, this was not a rule kids can talk, but looking to
"honor" all —mask on voice on mask off voice off in efforts to try to accommodate this difficult
times.
e Fields for spring—still need to do some work. Work was done in the fall, but they will look to
complete the work in the spring and it will be closed for a bit.
e Masking via the state is ending by the end of month, but mask mandate for Lexington until
March 15. However, board of health and superintendent will guide this.
o Based on the last update from last note from Super—we brought back more group work,
morning meeting on the rug. The lunch/food procedures have not changed, but we will
continue to look for guidance from the town.
• As always we might need to adjust at any point, but if we have no mask mandate
that will bring other areas of back to a new normal.
• All School meeting is still not happening nor book buddies to ensure continued
safety
Motion to adjourn —Chris, Beth to second all in favor.
