MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> HELD AT THE TONN OFFICE BUILDING, FRIDAY <br /> EVENING, JUNE 23, 1944. <br /> Notification of this meeting was furnished to all mem- <br /> bers of the Committee . <br /> The meeting was opened in the office of the Town Account- <br /> ant <br /> ccount-ant at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt, with the following <br /> members in attendance: <br /> Lewis L. Hoyt, Chairman <br /> J. Milton Brown Thacher Jenney <br /> Fred C. Newhall Harvey F. Winlock <br /> Ronald D. Brown <br /> Raymond L. White, Town Accountant <br /> Minutes of the Meeting Held May 22, 1944 <br /> It was regularly moved and voted to dispense with the <br /> reading of the minutes of the regular meeting held May 22, <br /> 1944. <br /> 4t**4: 4:4:4.** <br /> * <br /> Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt spoke and said that Mr. Errol <br /> Locke, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, called him on the <br /> telephone with regard to the salary of the Senior Clerks in <br /> the Assessors ' Department and the Collector' s Department. <br /> Mr. Locke said that the Board of Selectmen decided to approve <br /> a $2.00 increase for Miss Helen Ready and Miss G. Mildred <br /> Thompson, and wished that this Committee would approve. <br /> After a short discussion, a motion was made by <br /> Thacher Jenney, seconded by Harvey F. Winlock and voted to <br /> approve the action of the Board of Selectmen to increase the <br /> salary of Miss Helen Ready and Miss G. Mildred Thompson $2.00 <br /> a week effective June 30, 1944. <br /> Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt asked the Secretary to leave <br /> the meeting for a few moments. When the Secretary was recalled, <br />
