There are insufficient funds in this <br /> account so the Selectmen requested a transfer of 125.00 from the <br /> Reserve Fund to the Law Department - Expense Account. A motion was <br /> made, seconded and voted that we transfer the sum of, t25.00 from the <br /> Reserve Fund to the Law Department - Expense Account. <br /> Chairman Hoyt then spoke to George C. Sheldon, stating that <br /> this Committee wished to make him a little gift because of his good <br /> and faithful leadership while he was Chairman of this Committee. <br /> Then Chairman Hoyt presented George C. Sheldon with a package, which <br /> George opened and found it to be a pipe. He thanked the Committee <br /> and said that he certainly appreciated a good pipe. After George C. <br /> Sheldon left this meeting, Chairman Hoyt spoke in general about the <br /> School Department budget and said he felt that we should try to <br /> know more about it as it represented 35/ of the tax levy. The num- <br /> ber of school children show a definite downward trend while the <br /> school budget shows a progressive moderate upward trend.
