284 <br /> • <br /> 1997 Annual Town Meeting-March 24, 1997 cent... <br /> ARTICLE 2: REPORTS OF COMMITTEES <br /> Presented by Leo P.McSweeney. <br /> MOTION: That Articles 26,29, 30, 35,34, 33, and 32 be taken up in that <br /> sequence; provided,however,that if any of these articles are not reached at <br /> this session,then they shall be taken up in their normal order. <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:40 p.m.,the Moderator declared adoption of the motion. <br /> ARTICLE 26: NOTICE OF INTENT FEES <br /> 8:40 p.m. Presented by Joyce Miller,Conservation Commission. <br /> MOTION: That the sum of$10, 898 be appropriated to the Conservation <br /> Fund- Wetlands Interest Fees Account for the purpose of administering the <br /> Wetlands Protection Act, and to raise such amount$10,898 be transferred <br /> from the Reserve for Appropriation for Wetlands Protection Fund account. <br /> 8:41 p.m. Elizabeth Eddison,Board of Selectmen,stated approval of the Board <br /> of Selectmen. <br /> 8:42 p.m. Paul Lapointe, Appropriation Committee, stated the Appropriation <br /> Committee unanimously recommends approval. <br /> Following a voice vote at 8:42 p.m.,the Moderator declared unanimous adoption of <br /> the motion. <br /> ARTICLE 29: LAND ACQUISITION-SPENCER STREET <br /> 8:43 p.m. Presented by Leo P. McSweeney <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be authorized to acquire by purchase, eminent <br /> domain or otherwise the land shown as Lot 2 on a plan entitled "Compiled <br /> Subdivision Plan of Land in Lexington,MA(Middlesex County)"recorded as Plan <br /> No. 1324 of 1996 in the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds, said land being <br /> located at the end of Spencer Street and being now or formerly of Augusta, for <br /> municipal purposes, and to appropriate$1.00 therefor which shall be raised in the <br /> tax levy. <br /> 8:44 p.m. Leo McSweeney, Board of Selectmen, stated unanimous support <br /> of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> 8:45 p.m. Richard Canale, Planning Board, stated unanimous support of the <br /> Planning Board. <br /> 8:45 p.m. Paul Lapointe,Appropriation Committee, stated unanimous support <br /> of the Appropriations Committee. <br /> The Moderator stated that as the article requires a two-thirds vote,if the vote is not <br /> unanimous then a standing vote will be taken. Following a voice vote at 8:45 p.m., <br /> the Moderator declared unanimous adoption of the motion. <br /> ARTICLE 30: USE OF DRIVEWAY ON GRANDVIEW AVENUE <br /> 8:45 p.m. Presented by Selectman McSweeney. <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to grant <br /> a permanent easement to The Lebeau Family Trust to continue to use the <br /> existing portion of their driveway located at 19 Grandview Avenue that <br /> extends onto Lot 14D shown on Assessor's Property Map 51 for one dollar <br /> and on such other terms as the Selectmen may determine. <br />
