<br /> The Appropriation Committee held a meeting at 7:30 P.M., on Monday,
<br /> June 7, 1971, in the office of the Comptroller, Estabrook Hall,
<br /> Lexington . Present were Edward E. Furash, Chairman, Jack L. -Mitchell,
<br /> Vice Chairman, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, Arthur T. Bernier,
<br /> J. Harper Blaisdell, Howard L. Levingston, Richard M. Perry, Comp-
<br /> troller and Donald B. White .
<br /> E. Mollo Christenson joined the meeting and advised the Committee
<br /> that a Citizens Advisory Committee, made up from all the Towns in-
<br /> volved, was being formed in the interest of the Minuteman Regional
<br /> Vocational High School. This would be an ad hoc Committee, under
<br /> the School Committee, whose primary purpose was communication with
<br /> major Town Boards . He expressed the wish that a member of Approp-
<br /> riations would be nominated to serve on this Citizens Committee.
<br /> Upon motions duly made and seconded, all Articles and Committee
<br /> recommendations were VOTED* and the Committee Report was prepared
<br /> and edited for printing.
<br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED that "the Approp-
<br /> riation Committee hereby recommends that all funds to be appropriated
<br /> at the Special Town Meeting, to be held on June 14, 1971, shall be
<br /> raised on the tax levy, with the exception of Article #8 whose ap-
<br /> propriation shall be transferred from the Excess and Deficiency Fund" .
<br /> Meeting was held with Town Engineer McSweeney with respect to
<br /> Article #7. He explained, with maps, the purpose for and the areas
<br /> involved in the conveyance of land to the Arts and Crafts Society.
<br /> The next meeting night is scheduled at 7:45 P.M. , on Wednesday,
<br /> June 9; 1971, in the Science Lecture Building at the High School.
<br /> The meeting was recessed at 9:45 P.M.
