185 <br /> The Selectmen are hereby authorized and directed <br /> to accept on behalf of the Town, for use in <br /> carrying out such project a Federal Grant of <br /> money pursuant to the Emergency Relief Appropriation <br /> Act of 1935, and a Committee of seven whose <br /> appointment by the Moderator is hereby authorized, <br /> is authorized to proceed with the construction of <br /> said project and enter into all necessary and <br /> proper contracts and agreements in respect <br /> thereto, all subject to applicable Federal <br /> regulations; and the said Committee is authorized <br /> to do all other acts and things necessary or <br /> convenient for obtaining said grant, for making <br /> said loan, and for constructing said project. <br /> REFERENDUM PETITION <br /> Question Number III. To vote upon the following question pres- <br /> ented to the voters at large by the Selectmen, <br /> pursuant to a petition for a referendum upon a vote <br /> rejecting a measure at the Special Town Meeting <br /> held on October 21, 1935: <br /> Article 9. <br /> Voted that the Board of Selectmen be authorized <br /> in the name of and on behalf of the Town to <br /> take by eminent domain Plot Band adjoining <br /> parcel of land known as the John E. Mulliken <br /> property as shown on a plan of the Mulliken <br /> Estate so-called, as a site for a future <br /> school building and for other appropriate <br /> school purPoses and for a park, playground or <br /> recreation center, said parcel of land being <br /> bounded and described as follows : <br /> "Beginning at a point in the northwesterly side <br /> line of Waltham Street, said point being south <br /> 550 20' west and distant 6.28 feet from an <br /> angle point in said northwesterly sideline <br /> of Waltham Street, said point of beginning <br /> being in the dividing line between the <br /> properties of Mulliken and Ryder; thence <br /> running northwesterly along said dividing line <br /> about 808 feet to a point; thence running <br /> northeasterly about 573 feet to a point; thence <br /> running southeasterly about 623 feet to a stone <br /> bound; thence running southwesterly along a <br /> brook about 119 feet to a Point; thence <br /> running southwesterly about 387 feet to a point; <br /> thence running southeasterly 235.47 feet to a <br /> point in the northwesterly side line of Waltham <br /> Street; thence running southwesterly along said <br /> northwesterly side line of Waltham Street by two <br /> courses 100 feet to the point of beginning, <br /> containing about 8.4 acres." <br /> And Further, Voted that the Town appropriate <br /> and transfer from the Excess and Deficiency <br /> account the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) <br /> for the above purpose. <br /> YES <br /> NO <br /> The polls will be open at 12 :00 Noon and will remain <br /> open until 8:00 P.M. <br />
