TOWN OF LEXINGTON | 9 <br />documents and bound volumes, cataloging of Lexington’s <br />records of Town Meetings and Elections, “old town pa- <br />pers”, deeds and agreements, and the 300th Anniversary <br />Celebration Collection. <br />In March of 2015, Town Meeting approved FY16 Com- <br />munity Preservation funding for the installation of new <br />shelving in the Records Room in the Cary Memorial <br />Building. Replacement of the existing inadequate shelving <br />is in the planning phase. <br />Meetings with Records Management Committee and re- <br />cords management initiatives continue as key means for <br />managing both electronic and paper records and informa- <br />tion key to governmental operations and for ongoing pub- <br />lic access. The Virtual Exhibit of historic documents, cre- <br />ated in FY13, is now fully accessible to viewers. <br />Continuation of enhanced organization-wide electronic <br />document management program, with collection and ar- <br />chiving of board and committee meeting minutes and re- <br />ports, and posting on the Town’s web site. <br />Enhancement of Laserfiche document imaging system <br />continues to be developed to serve as the basis for web <br />publishing archived documents for public access. <br />Code of Lexington—Publishing of annual supplement, <br />updating bylaw changes adopted at the 2015 Annual and <br />Special Town Meetings and regulations and orders enacted <br />or updated during FY15. <br />The Commonwealth’s E-Births module was expanded in <br />July of 2015 to include births dating to 1985; the E-Deaths <br />module was fully implemented in November of 2014. <br />Annual Town Census updated Lexington’s population, <br />with close coordination with Lexington Public Schools, <br />and verified voter registration rolls, with Annual List of <br />Residents published. <br />The Town Clerk’s Office oversaw appointment notifica- <br />tions; oaths of office, and posting of approximately 980 <br />public meetings conducted for appointed and elected <br />boards and committee members. <br />Ongoing oversight of the 2009 Ethics Reform legislation, <br />imposing changes to the Conflict of Interest Law and Pub- <br />lic Records Law and requiring notification and training of <br />municipal employees, continuing to issue required training <br />and notifications provided to board and committee mem- <br />bers, municipal and school employees. <br />Board of Selectmen voted June 2014 to designate the polling <br />location for precincts 1 and 5 to be moved to the School Ad- <br />ministration Building, 146 Maple Street, relocating from the <br />Cary Memorial Building while under renovation. <br />State Primary and State Election held September 9, 2014 and <br />November 4, 2014 at which Representative Edward Markey <br />was elected to Senator in Congress. Voter turnout was 25% of <br />the 21,171 registered voters for the State Primary, and 63% of <br />the 21,245 registered voters for the State Election. <br />Special Town Election, held simultaneously with the Novem- <br />ber 4, 2014 State Election, to fill vacancies in the Board of Se- <br />lectmen and School Committee created by the resignation of <br />Selectman Deborah Mauger and School Committee member <br />Mary Ann Stewart. <br />Annual Town Election held Monday, March 2, 2015 saw a <br />16% voter turnout from Lexington’s 20,888 registered voters. <br />Annual Town Meeting convened on March 23, 2015 in <br />the Donald J.
