Barrett, RA., and Project Manager <br /> <br />Members of the Lexington School Committee: Judy Crocker and William (Bill) Hurley <br /> <br />The Minutes were taken by Jean Curran, Recording Secretary <br />The Meeting convened at 6:05 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Discussion regarding Ad Hoc School Master Plan Committee (AhSMPC) work. <br />1. Update. Judy Crocker called the AhSMPC to order at 6:05 p.m. <br />Jon Himmel shared that the AhSMPC asked for a meeting this evening at 7:00 p.m. in order for the <br />Board of Selectmen (BOS), School Committee (SC) and the Permanent Building Committee (PBC) could <br />all meet together for an accelerated presentation this evening. The PBC will need to remain in session if <br />more than a quorum wants to attend the 7:00 p.m. meeting. Jon shared that Symmes Maini & McKee <br />Associates (SMMA) has looked at the elementary, middle schools and high school and have put together <br />a matrix for each of the schools. SMMA is interested in the AhSMPC making a decision on an overall <br />option for all of the elementary and middle schools. <br /> <br />The members engaged in discussion of Option 8 for purposes of master planning. <br />Bowman and Bridge Elementary Schools Pre-fab additions for short term capacity, long term right <br />sizing. <br />Clarke Middle School Pre-fab addition (one-team added) and long-term building addition and <br />reconfigure triangular classrooms and space mining <br />Diamond Middle School additions and renovation (bricks and mortar) remove portables and add eight <br />pre-fab (3 teams added) and space mining <br />Fiske Elementary School addition of three grade level general education classrooms, one kindergarten <br />classroom, one special education classroom, one music room and one art room <br />Harrington Elementary School Swap Pre-k with kindergarten; add seven grade level general education <br />classrooms, one kindergarten classroom, one art room, one music room, gym, enlarge the cafeteria <br />Hastings Elementary School Build a new Hastings with 600+ students with or without PreK and with or <br />without MSBA funding. <br /> <br />Massachusetts School Building AuthorSOI) <br />submission had been rejected for 2015.
