TOWN CLERK 45 <br />ARTICLE 24. To see if the Town will vote to enlarge the scope of the Road <br />Machinery Fund by crediting to said fund an amount based on hourly rental for <br />the use of mctorized equipment of the Public Works Department when used on <br />various projects carried on under the direction of said Department or other Town <br />departments, the amount of said credit not to exceed the amount allowed by the <br />State for the use of similar equipment; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 25. To see if the Town will make supplementary appropriations to be <br />used in conjunction with money appropriated in prior years for the installation or <br />construction of water mains, sewers, drains, streets, or buildings that have hereto- <br />fore been authorized, and determine whether the money shall be provided by the <br />current tax levy cr by transfer from available funds or by borrowing, or by any <br />combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 26. To see if the Town will vote to install street lights in such un- <br />accepted streets as the Selectmen may determine prior to the final adjournment of <br />the 1962 Annual Town Meeting; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 27. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to construct as <br />off - street parking area all or any part of the remaining land situated on Meriam <br />Street and abutting the Boston and Maine Railroad that was acquired for an off - <br />street parking area in 1960 and has net been so constructed; appropriate money <br />therefor and determine whether the money shall be provided by the current tax <br />levy, by transfer from available funds, including the Parking Meter Fund, or by <br />borrowing or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in <br />relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 28. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money for the pur- <br />chase of an additional cruiser far the Police Department and determine whether <br />the money shall be provided by the current tax levy or by transfer from available <br />funds; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 29. To see if to provide access from Hartwell Avenue to the and <br />situated southerly of Hartwell Avenue acquired by the Town fc- refuse disposal <br />sites, the Town will authorize the Selectmen in the name and on behalf of the <br />Town to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire any fee, easement <br />or other intrest in land necessary therefor in land abutting on Hartwell Avenue <br />and on said refuse disposal sites, and appropriate money for such and acquisition <br />and determine whether payment shall be provided by the current tax levy or by <br />transfer from available funds, or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 30. To see if the Town will appropriate money to prepare for refuse <br />disposal use the parcels of land situated southerly of Hartwell Avenue acquired by <br />the Town for refuse disposal sites and to construct access thereto from Hartwell <br />Avenue, and determine whether payment shall be provided by the current tax levy <br />or by transfer from available funds, or by any combination of these methods; or act <br />in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 31. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to accept on <br />behalf of the Town from Racer B. Tyler end Albert B. Wolfe as trustees for the <br />46 TOWN CLERK <br />benefit of Richard L. Tower and Betsy Clarke Tower and others a grant of the fee <br />or other interests in any or all of the streets, or portions thereof, in the Follen Hill <br />area; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 32. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to sell and con- <br />vey upon such terms and conditions as they deem proper all or any part of two <br />parcels of land of the Town situated on Follen Road at Marrett Road and shown as <br />Parcels Al and B1 on Land Court Plan 16684A, and will set the minimum amount <br />to be paid for such conveyance; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 33. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to abandon such <br />portion of the water line easements in land on Lincoln Street now owned by Temple <br />Isaiah, Inc., as is no longer needed by the Town, and will set the minimum amount <br />to be paid for such abandonment; or act in any manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 34. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to abandon such <br />portion of the drain easement in lot 27 on Fessenden Way as is no longer needed <br />by the Town, said easement having been granted to the Town by George Avadanian <br />by instrument dated April 23, 1960 and recorded in Middelesex South District <br />Registry of Deeds, Book 9584, Page 29, and will set the minimum amount to be <br />paid for such abandonment; or act- in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 35. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate money for the im- <br />provement of lowlands and swamps and the eradication of mosquitoes under Chap- <br />ter 252 of the General Laws or for the eradication of mosquitoes by the Board of <br />Health of Lexington; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 36. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen on behalf of the <br />Town to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire for future street <br />location and for playground and recreational purposes, and other public purposes, <br />all or any part of a parcel of land situated northerly of Massachusetts Avenue, <br />abutting on the Adams School lot and on land of the Boston and Maine Railroad, <br />and shown as Lot A on a plan entitled "Plan of land owned by F. C. Friend Lex- <br />ington, Mass. ", dated December 8, 1939, Albert A. Miller, Civil Engineer, record- <br />ed in Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds, Book 6844, Page 512; and ap- <br />propriate money therefor and determine whether the money shall be provided by <br />the current tax levy or by transfer from available funds, or by any combination of <br />these methods; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE 37. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen on behalf of the <br />Town to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire for a future street <br />location and for playground and recreational purposes, and other public purposes, <br />a parcel of land bounded easterly by land of the Town sometimes known as Willard <br />Woods; southerly by other land of the Town; westerly by land now or formerly of <br />Dorothy J. Pihl and by land now or formerly of Universal Builders, Inc., or of own- <br />ers unknown, and northerly by lot 22 on Longfellow Road and by land now or form- <br />erly of Nathan Ribock; and appropriate money therefor and determine whether the <br />money shall be provided by the current tax levy or by transfer from available <br />
