<br />tion thereto.
<br />ARTICLE 38. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen on behalf of the
<br />Town to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire for playground and
<br />recreational purposes and other public purposes a parcel of land situated northerly
<br />of Summer Street and abutting on Town land acquired for playground and recrea-
<br />tional purposes in 1959, said parcel being a portion of the land shown on Land Court
<br />plan 23315A, and in connection with such acquisition authorize the Selectmen in
<br />the name and on behalf of the Town to convey to the owners of such land to be ac-
<br />quired a portion of said Town land acquired in 1959 that abuts upon the remain-
<br />ing land of said owners; and appropriate money therefor and determine whether
<br />the money shall be provided by the current tax levy or by transfer from available
<br />funds, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in re-
<br />lation thereto.
<br />ARTICLE 39. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen on behalf of the
<br />Town to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire for playground
<br />and recreational purposes and other public purposes a parcel of land believed to
<br />contain 10.02 acres, more or less, which is situated easterly of Robinson Road and
<br />abutting upon Town land acquired for playground and recreational purposes in
<br />1960, said parcel being substantially as shown on plan entitled "Plan of Land in
<br />Lexington, Mass. ", dated May 27, 1940, J. Bruce Lewis, Civil Engineer, recorded
<br />in Middlesex South District' Registry cf Deeds, Book 6435, End, and in connection
<br />with such acquisition authorize the Selectmen in the name and on behalf of the
<br />Town to grant to the owners of such and a right -of -way across said Town land to
<br />Turning Mill Road for the benefit of the remaining land of such owner, and appro-
<br />priate money therefor and determine whether the money shall be provided by the
<br />current tax levy or by transfer from available funds, or by any combination of these
<br />methods; or act in any manner in relation thereto.
<br />ARTICLE 40. To see if the Town will authorize the Planning Board to obtain
<br />options for land or rights therein that it desires to recommend be acquired by the
<br />Town as locations for future streets or for playground and recreational purposes
<br />and will authorize the Selectmen to acquire by purchase, eminent domain, or
<br />otherwise, the and or rights therein that are recommended for such purposes; ap-
<br />propriate money for such options and land acquisition and determine whether the
<br />same shall be provided by the current lax levy, or by transfer from available funds,
<br />or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in relation
<br />thereto.
<br />ARTICLE 41. To see if the Town will provide for and authorize a committee
<br />to prepare final plans and specifications and to obtain bids for the construction
<br />and original equipping and furnishing of a new secondary school building or build-
<br />ings on land in the vicinity of the senior high school, including any additions to
<br />and alterations in the existing high school building; and appropriate money for
<br />the expenses of the committe and determ:re whether payment shall be provided

<br />of these methods; or act in any other manner in relation thereto.
<br />ARTICLE 42. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen on behlaf of the
<br />Town to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire for school, play-
<br />ground and other public purposes all or any part of a parcel of land situated on
<br />Moreland Avenue and consisting of lots 156 to 182, inclusive, and 315 to 340,
<br />inclusive, on plan entitled "East Lexington Estates East Lexington, Mass. Owned
<br />by J. W. Wilbur", dated November 21, 1913, A. L. Eliot, Civil Engineer, recorded
<br />in Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds in Plan Book 219 as Plan 41, and
<br />lots 22, 23, 56, 57 and 112 to 155, inclusive, on plan entitled "East Lexington
<br />Farms, East Lexington Middlesex County Mass. Owned by J. W. Wilbur ", dated
<br />November 10, 1913, A. L. Eliot, Civil Engineer, recorded in said Plan Book 219
<br />as Plan 42, and including the portions of Moreland Avenue located between said
<br />lots; appropriate money for such land acquisition and determine whether the money
<br />shall be provided by the current tax levy, by transfer from available funds or by
<br />borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in
<br />relation thereto.
<br />ARTICLE 43. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen on behalf of the
<br />Town to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire for school, play-
<br />ground and other public purposes all or any part of a parcel of land situated on and
<br />off Young Street and Webb Street and consisting of lots 166 to 169, inclusive, on
<br />Young Street on plan entitled "Battle -View Park Lexington, Mass. James E. Burke
<br />Owner" surveyed November, 1913, John N. 'McClintock, A.M.C.E., recorded in
<br />Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds in Plan Book 224 as Plan 14, lots 9
<br />and 10 on Webb Street on 'Land Court Plan 24405A, and the and shown on Land
<br />Court Plan 12100F and land adjacent thereto; appropriate money for such land
<br />acquisition and determine whether the money shall be provided by the current tax
<br />levy, by transfer from available funds or by borrowing. or by any combination of
<br />these methods; or act in any other manner in relation thereto.
<br />ARTICLE 44. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen on behalf of the
<br />Town to purchase, take by eminent domain or otherwise acquire for school, play-
<br />ground and other public purposes all or any part of a parcel of land situated on
<br />the southerly side of Woburn Street about opposite Webb Street, bounded in part
<br />on Woburn Street and in part on the southerly boundries of building lots on Wo-
<br />burn Street, including land of various owners and believed to contain about thirty
<br />acres; appropriate money for such land acquisition and determine whether the
<br />money shall be provided by the current tax levy or by transfer from available funds;
<br />or by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other man-
<br />ner in relation thereto.
<br />ARTICLE 45. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money for
<br />the purchase of a fire engine for the Fire Department and determine whether the
<br />money shall be provided by the current tax levy or by transfer from available funds
<br />or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in relation
<br />thereto.
