May 23 from 10:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Dimmock Award:
Elsa Lou Dimmock was a vocalist and her family established a special fund in her
memory. A high School junior receives the award annually. LCA is conduit to assist
in granting the award. Interest comes from the trust fund and is used as an award.
Award is about $250.00 and interest has been about $200.00. Could skip a year and
re-invest to build up interest. Jeff Leonard preferred to keep annual award. Junior
receives the award. This year can reach up to the $250.00. Contact is David
Williams who serves as the trustee for Lexington trusts. Need to get name from Jeff
Leonard, then coordinate with David Williams to have the check in time.
Side note: Lincoln Park Sculpture Park Concept:
Zoe shared that at an earlier date she learned that David Williams was involved with
others who were trying to establish a small sculpture park. Lincoln Park has a small
area set aside. Town identified some granite (from near Buckman Tavern) and
considered turning them on side to “plant” in interesting fashion.
