3. Educational Programming: The Committee members discussed their individual <br />evaluations of the two proposals. After a full deliberation, there was a consensus that, <br />regarding Educational Programming, the LexFarm proposal should be evaluated as <br />Highly Advantageous and the Fat Moon Farm proposal as Highly Advantageous. <br />4. Lease Exceptions: The Committee members discussed their individual evaluations of the <br />two proposals. After a full deliberation, there was a consensus that, regarding Lease <br />Exceptions, the LexFarm proposal should be evaluated as Advantageous and the Fat <br />Moon Farm proposal as Highly Advantageous, pending responses to follow -up questions <br />at the interview stage. <br />5. Financial Capacity: The Committee members discussed their individual evaluations of <br />the two proposals. After a full deliberation, there was a consensus that, regarding <br />Financial Capacity, the LexFarm proposal should be evaluated as Advantageous and the <br />Fat Moon Farm proposal as Advantageous. <br />6. Community Ties: The Committee members discussed their individual evaluations of the <br />two proposals. After a full deliberation, there was a consensus that, regarding <br />Community Ties, the LexFarm proposal should be evaluated as Highly Advantageous <br />and the Fat Moon Farm proposal as Not Advantageous. <br />7. Director's Experience: The Committee members discussed their individual evaluations <br />of the two proposals. After a full deliberation, there was a consensus that, regarding <br />Director's Experience, the LexFarm proposal should be evaluated as Highly <br />Advantageous, pending responses to follow -up questions at the interview stage regarding <br />the role of the Community Farms Outreach. The Fat Moon Farm proposal was evaluated <br />as Not Advantageous. <br />Ms. Dahlberg agreed to draft the list of follow -up interview questions raised during the <br />deliberations. <br />At the meeting on July 23, if time permits, the Committee would like to begin its deliberations <br />on which proposal is most advantageous to the Town. <br />Michael Bliss agreed to be the Chair for the Committee. <br />The Committee /evaluation team future schedule is: <br />• Monday, July 15, 8 a.m. Tour of the Busa Farm (as a site visit, this is not a posted <br />meeting); <br />• Thursday, July 18, 8 a.m. Interview of first farm entity; <br />• Tuesday, July 23, 8 a.m. Interview of second farm entity and begin deliberations as <br />to the most advantageous proposal, if time permits; <br />• Wednesday, July 24, 4 p.m. If necessary, continue deliberations in order to make a <br />recommendation to Town Manager of award of the farming lease. <br />The meeting was adjourned from Executive Session on a unanimous roll call vote at 9:40 a.m. <br />and, having no further business, the meeting was adjourned from Open Session at 9:40 a.m. <br />Minute taker: Carl E Valente <br />
