Acknowledgments <br />I wish to thank, first of all, the people who graciously shared their memories of <br />the beginnings of the Estabrook School in interviews. They gave me information <br />that I could not have obtained elsewhere, and they provided a personal note to the <br />explanation of the team teaching experience. I hope what I have chosen to quote <br />from them does justice to their contribution.
