<br />PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br />MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board in Room G-15, Town Office Building was called to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Hornig with members Manz and Canale and planning staff McCall- <br />Taylor present. Mr. Zurlo and Mr. Henry joined the meeting in progress. <br /> <br />********************************* MINUTES****************************************** <br />Review of Minutes: The Board reviewed and corrected the minutes for the August 27, 2008. On a motion <br />duly made and seconded, it was voted, 3-0, to approve the minutes of August 27, 2008 as amended. <br /> <br />*****************************APPROVAL NOT REQUIRED****************************** <br />Moreland Avenue at Buckman Drive –It was duly moved, seconded and voted to endorse the plan entitled <br />“Plan of Land in Lexington, MA (Middlesex County), dated September 8, 2008, prepared and certified by <br />Laird J. Walsh, Professional Land Surveyor, Wilmington, MA, with Form A/2008-5, submitted by David <br />Cannon, applicant, as it does not require approval under the Subdivision Control Law. <br /> <br />***************************DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS**************************** <br />On a motion duly made and seconded, the Board voted, 3-0, to readopt the Development Regulations that <br />were the subject of the September 10 public hearing with minor changes as proposed by Mr. Hornig. <br /> <br />Mr. Zurlo and Mr. Henry joined the meeting. <br />***********************PLANNING BOARD ORGANIZATION, SCHEDULE***************** <br />The Board discussed the Economic Development Task Force (EDTF) meeting of October 4 and what the <br />Planning Board’s role would be. Mr. Zurlo asked for input on topics for breakout sessions. <br /> <br />*************************BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING************************* <br />At 7:45 the Board moved upstairs to the Selectmen’s Meeting to hear the report of the EDTF and to give <br />the Selectmen an update on the Planning Board’s work on rezoning for commercial development in the <br />Hartwell Avenue area. <br /> <br />Mr. Hornig asked the Selectmen to consider how to finance any needed infrastructure improvements that <br />increased commercial development would require. The Selectmen commented on the possible funding <br />mechanisms as well as what they hoped to see as far as intensity of development. They indicated that <br /> <br />
