April 27, 2006 Minutes 11 <br /> DRAFT MINUTES of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals April 27, 2006 <br /> Present: Chairman — Judith J. Uhrig, John J. McWeeney, Maura L. Sheehan, Arthur C. Smith <br /> and Daniel A. Lucas <br /> Petition Address: One Ames Avenue <br /> The relief sought is for a Variance from Section 135 -35 to rebuild stairs with a set back of 11.5 - <br /> feet instead of the required 20 -feet to Carville Avenue. <br /> The Chairman opened the hearing at 8:40 PM by reading the legal notice and described <br /> information received from the petitioner relative to the petition. <br /> Prior to the hearing, the petition and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br /> Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Health Director, Zoning <br /> Enforcement Officer, Planning Board and Selectmen's Office. No comments were received. <br /> Faye Helen Lieb, owner of the property, presented the petition explaining that the stairs that had <br /> been rebuilt in 1986 need to be replaced again because they have rotted out. <br /> The Board had no questions. <br /> There were no questions from the audience. <br /> No one spoke in favor or in opposition of the petition. <br /> The hearing was closed at 8:43 PM. <br /> Discussion: The Board felt the request was reasonable. <br /> Decision: On a motion by Arthur Smith and seconded by Maura Sheehan, the Board voted 5 -0 <br /> to APPROVE a variance to allow construction of an overhang over the front steps with a front <br /> set back of 20.4 feet instead of the 30 -feet required. <br />
