Christopher Barry <br />Dr. Edith Flynn <br />1. Meeting called at 4:05 p.m. <br />2. Minutes for May 24, 2011 approved unanimously. <br />3. Open Comments: After this meeting, the Police Department intends to consolidate and <br />assess all the policies finalized to date. The break between meetings will be longer. <br />4. Policy Review. <br />73B — Prosecution <br />- -Page 1. Should there be an MPI cite as to where this policy came from, or is this an <br />LPD original. {I doubt Page 4 is from LPD original language. } <br />- -Page 1. Under general guidelines, should PD state that child abuse cases will be given a <br />priority? <br />- -Page 2, B. Police Prosecutor is subordinate to the Detective Commander. There should <br />be language that the Prosecutor and /or Bureau Commander have an obligation to bring <br />unusual or important dispositions to the attention of the Chief of Police. <br />- -Page 2, B2. Term "Chief' and "Chief of Police" being used interchangeably. Should <br />be "Chief of Police." <br />- -Page 2, B5. Clarify. It is the Framingham Juvenile Court. <br />- -Page 3, D. The language "due to the alleged mishandling" is harsh language. Soften <br />language to represent errors due to procedural error. <br />- -Page 4.
