MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> May 20, 1943. <br /> Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt contacted the following members <br /> by telephone : <br /> Richard W. Maynard Fred C. Newhall <br /> George M. Hynes Carl E. Bryant <br /> Ronald D. Brown Raymond A. Bond <br /> The Trustees of the Cary Memorial Library had requested <br /> a transfer of $200.00 from the Reserve Fund to the Cary Library - <br /> Expenses Account to partially meet the expense of covering a wood <br /> floor with linoleum in the Main Cary Memorial Library Building. <br /> This Committee, however, wonders if this is a question <br /> of unforeseen expense, as this situation has been existing for <br /> sometime and should have been offered for consideration at the <br /> time of submitting their annual budget. <br /> However, the majority of the members of this Committee <br /> contacted voted in favor of a transfer of $200.00 from the Reserve <br /> Fund to the Cary Library - Expenses Account to take care of this <br /> expense. Those voting in favor were : Richard W. Maynard, George M. <br /> Hynes, Ronald D. Brown, Lewis L. Hoyt, Fred C. Newhall and Carl E. <br /> Bryant. Mr. Raymond A. Bond voted against such a transfer. <br /> The information that the Trustees gave to Mr. Lewis L. <br /> Hoyt was that it would cort $185.00 to sand and wax the floor and <br /> an annual upkeep cost. The cost of covering the floor with battle- <br /> ship-gray linoleum is $392.00 for 156 yards. Mr. Sarano, Selectmen, <br /> and Mr. Nason, Librarian of the Cary Memorial Library, saw Mr. Hoyt <br /> in regards to this transfer.
