Certificate No. 2011C-71 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman, Joseph Welch, Daniel Griffin Jr., Paul Ross, and Robert Warshawer and Associate Commissioner: Carl Oldenburg INFORMAL HEARINGS 2027 Massachusetts Avenue: Trisha Kennaley, presented ideas for an addition and parking at both 2027 & 2013 Massachusetts Avenue. Ms. Kennaley’s plan is to turn these homes into a bed and breakfast with restaurant open to the public. Part of the plan for 2013 Mass Ave is to change the exterior of the barn. One of the Commissioners recommended keeping the exterior of the barn looking like a barn to help keep the integrity of the property. For 2027 Mass Ave the plan is to extend the side porch to accommodate the restaurant. A commissioner suggested the idea of having the space more open almost like a solarium. Another issue of concern to the commission is the amount of parking that is going to be needed to run the Inn. More parking needs more hardscape which the commission has jurisdiction over. Some neighbors spoke in regards to their concerns over the scale and scope of project, parking, and traffic in the area. The commission did reiterate that the applicant should keep a very close eye on landscaping and other remedies for a large parking area. 10 Muzzey Street : Greg Papazian, presented a drawing showing inserting a door in the middle of a large window and signage. This entryway would mirror the entryway for the Christian Science reading room. The commission was pleased with the idea and did not see anything which needed change.
