Mr. Kelley r ov d to approve the minutes of January 17. ills. walker seconded the motio n and the minutes were approved. Dog Signs — fir. W1I1 ms showed the co m m ittee the size of the signs that will be posted on Hayde n land. The signs will be 18" by 12"' and will have dark green letters on a white background. The wording will b e as H ayde n requested — req ui ri ng dogs to be leashed and owners to cleanup after their dogs. We will install a minimum of three signs in the boardwalk and meadow areas. Hayden has requested that w have six identical signs made for then, to Insta11. Bath ruoM — l lr. Malley t old the group that the contract has been r - written but n ot y et signed. H e did expect the Town M an age r to sign it possibly as soon as February 16. As soon a s it is signed, Dick berry wiII renew the building permit and fundraising will proceed. i ls. wa I ke r asked if the tree replacement planned for the field area would impact the construction of the bathrooms. Mr. Wirth assured her that it would riot. Mr. 11 ilIiarn -gave the com rn itt a a brief financial report for 2011. He explained Tat lead been spent which was primarily in the mound area. Wesley Wirth gave a report on the 2012 Agenda priorities. There was a lengthy discussion about m ap/informational signs at the e ntrance to the path. The consensus was that three fairly simple map signs would worl — ore at the Lincoln Street e nt ra nce to the path — one at both the bike path and the boa rdwaI k on Wo rthe n Road. An irrfori ationaI sign was proposed for th podium /planter area near th entrance to the rounds, Mr* Wirth al so presented a proposal for a new plantin eati ng area that would be visible f ro rn the fields. l lr. WilIiams asked Mr. Wirth about winter damage to the plants. Mr. Wirth did not f eel that, a of no , there are any pro ble ms. H e also reported that five tree m e n from B P worked for four days clearing storm damage. The cost was $8 and a great deal was acc nnpiish ed. He suggested that we add additional birch trees to the grove and underst ry plantjngs especially under the oak trees on Worthen Road, A copy of his Priorities is attached. There was a discussion of the Maintenance Plan. At the next meeting, the Committee will study the maintenance plan. we will probably reed to put this out for bid this spring.
