Mr. Kelley moved d t approve the minutes of January 17. Ms.Walker seconded the motion and the minutes were approved. Dog Signs—Mr.Williams showed the committee the size of the signs that will be posted on Hayden land. The signs will be 18" by 12"and will have dark green letters on a white background. The wording will be as Hayden requested- requiring dogs to be leashed and owners to clean up after their dogs.We will install a minimum of three signs in the boardwalk and meadow areas. Hayden has requested that we have six identical signs made for them to install. Bathroom—Mr. Kelley told the group that the contract has been re-written but not yet signed. He did expect the Town Manager to sign it possibly as soon as February 16. As soon as it is signed, Dick Perry will renew the building permit and fundraising will proceed. Ms.Walker asked if the tree replacement planned for the field area would impact the construction of the bathrooms. Mr.Wirth assured her that it would not. Mr. Williams gave the committee a brief financial report for 2011. He explained what had been spent which was primarily in the mound area. Wesley Wirth gave a report on the 2012 Agenda Priorities. There was a lengthy discussion about map/informational signs at the entrance to the path. The consensus was that three fairly simple map signs would work—one at the Lincoln Street entrance to the path—one at both the bike path and the boardwalk on Worthen Road. An informational l sign was proposed for the podium/planter area near the entrance to the mounds. Mr.Wirth also presented a proposal for a new planting/seating area that would be visible from the fields. Mr.Williams asked Mr.Wirth about winter damage to the plants. Mr. Wirth did not feel that,as of now, there are any problems. He also reported that five tree men from B P worked for four days clearing storm damage. The cost was$8,000 and a great deal was accomplished. He suggested that we add additional birch trees to the grove and understory plantings especially under the oak trees on Worthen Road. A copy of his Priorities is attached. There was a discussion of the Maintenance Plan. At the next meeting, the Committee will study the maintenance plan. We will probably need to put this out for bid this spring. The next meeting is scheduled for March 21 at 7 pm. The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 pm. Respectfully submitted, (:4/' , - Lynne Wilson
