Afternoon Events
A vote was taken on a motion made to invite Claude Julien, Bruins’ Coach; Peter
Cirelli, Bruins’ General Manager; Don Sweeney, Bruins’ Vice President and
Director of Personnel; and, Bob Beers, Sports Commentator, (and their families)
to participate in the afternoon parade as Honorary Grand Marshals. The motion
passed and was accepted.
A vote was taken on a motion made to accept ten no-fee applications. Said
motion passed and was accepted. Suzie is still awaiting applications from five
other no-fee groups.
Twenty-two applications for pay have been received. A vote was taken on a
motion made to accept the fourteen returning groups at the same fee as paid in
2011. The motion passed and was accepted. The remaining eight groups would
like additional compensation this year; Suzie, however, will talk with them about
the committee’s need to adhere to our level funding policy. Two new applicants
will be asked to reconsider their asking price.
Those invitees who have not yet responded will be contacted.

committee members and discussed.
The flyer will be submitted to the Lexington Minuteman, Colonial Times, etc.

This is closing day of the 300 festivities. Suzie will contact the 300 Committee
to discuss interest in meshing our and their events.
Miscellaneous
Town Celebrations Committee has been called upon to arrange a concert by the
th
Air Force Band of Liberty sometime around the July 4holiday.
The committee discussed a New Hampshire resident’s request to speak some
time during Patriots’ Day. Since the portion of the day’s events that Town
Celebrations is responsible for is already set, it was decided that we cannot
accommodate his request.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45 pm
