Decisions taken by Committee
Resident Discount on Liberty Ride: The Committee deliberated on the question of
discounted tickets for Lexington residents on the Liberty Ride. Upon motion duly made
and seconded, the Committee voted unanimously to offer residents a "buy 2 get 1 free"
offer on Liberty ride tickets between August 15 and September 2009.
Liberty Ride Pricing for Town Committees: The Committee discussed the pricing of
Liberty Ride by other Town committees. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was
decided unanimously that the cost for interested committees would be $180 which
represents two extended hours either before or after normal operating hours for their use,
plus the cost of the guide.
Walk Bicycles in Lexington Signage in Town Center: Upon motion duly made and
seconded, the Committee unanimously approved the list of trash receptacles on which
will be affixed the "Walk Bicycles..." signage and agreed with the chair to omit the two
locations not recommended.
Sandwich Boards in Lexington Center: Upon motion duly made and seconded, the
Committee voted to authorize the Committee Chairman to raise the issue of inconsistent
application of the town's sandwich board policy to the Board of Selectmen and
informally to the Historic Districts Committee and to raise the possibility of hanging
signage (also know as blade signage).

By vote of the Committee the meeting was adjourned at 6:04 pm
