Joe Mussachia, Chairman of the Lexington Energy Conservation Committee, reviewed some of the changes in the state open meeting law. Important aspects of the changes include 1) timely posting of meeting notices and inclusion of a detailed agenda with the meeting notice, 2) easy availability of meeting minutes. II. Pat Goddard informed the Committee that the Green Communities Grant Funds which were originally intended to be used for entering into a Purchase Power Agreement for Solar PV have been redirected to installation of Induction Lighting in Lexington. III. Pat Goddard also mentioned that Lexington has applied for funds to the Green Repair Program of the Massachusetts School Building Authority to carry out repairs/renovations in the Bridge and Bowman elementary schools and in the Lexington High School. The Green Repair Program requires that these repairs/renovations of roofs, windows and/or boilers be carried out to increase energy efficiency and sustainability. The Bridge and Bowman renovation projects are already in the design phase and Pat requested a special ECC meeting to review the various design options and the total lifecycle cost analysis of these options. Respectfully submitted, Prabir Maulik
