Lexington Housing Partnership and LexHAB Proposal to Board of Selectmen
Dec. 6, 2011
Dear Board of Selectmen,
LexHAB and the Lexington Housing Partnership would like the following to be
considered by the Board of Selectmen with regard to the possible acquisition of Wright
Farm.
The FY2013 Wright Farm Warrant Article to include all four interests
(affordable housing and open space and recreation and historic) to give the most
flexibility and potential to the future possible purchase. In addition since it will
likely be purchased with CPA funds, the Community Preservation Act supports all
four interests.
A group of LexHAB and the Lexington Housing Partnership members met on
Dec. 6 ,2011 and agreed that everyone present at the meeting supported
affordable housing development on the Wright Farm site.
It was also agreed that this proposal would be presented to LexHAB

members at their Dec. 14 meeting and to Lexington Housing Partnership
th
members at their Dec. 15to give committee members the opportunity to vote
on this proposal and then forward it on to the Board of Selectmen.
