LEXPRESS November ridership was 7,401,an increase of 246 riders compared to last November. Monthly increases have been noted each month in FY03. 2. Burlington B-Line and Waltham CitiBus Ridership. Both systems reported increases for September and October compared to the past year. B-Line reported a cumulative gain of 302 riders while CitiBus reported a gain of 3,904. LEXPRESS ridership per month exceeds both systems. Example: October 2002,CitiBus 7,218 and LEXPRESS,9,186. 3. FY04 Budget,At Risk Items: LEXPRESS has been presented to the Selectmen as an at- risk budget item. Leo McSweeney, Selectmen Chair,advised Don Graham that information was not currently needed. However,it was felt that TAC should have a letter on record. Newspaper articles were also discussed as a means of focusing attention on the benefits of LEXPRESS. 4. Transportation Demand Management. Gail Wagner met with M&L Transit and the 128 Business Council to discuss strategies for providing bus service between Hartwell Avenue and Anderson Transportation Center. The use of existing routes and availability of buses was emphasized. M&L Transit will develop a cost estimate. 5. Marketing. Bill Levison reported receiving Smart Tripper drafts from committee members. Methods of electronically adapting a LEXPTRESS map were discussed. National Heritage Museum.LEXPRESS information as a travel option to the museum has been added to the teacher information packet. 6. Town Web Site. A change was made on the menu in accessing LEXPRESS. Transportation as a category has replaced LEXPRESS. The site will be updated to provide an overview to local transportation, as well as LEXPRESS. 7. Access Corporation. Diane Pursley reported efforts to identify community organizations to solicit programming ideas for a Town directed cable channel. Focus groups will meet in February. 8. Minutes from November 20,2002 were approved. 9. Next Meeting. Wednesday,January 15,2003.
