LEXPRESS October Ridership.Total rideship was 9,170 an increase of 878 rides from last October.Each month of FY03 has shown an increase in LEXPRESS riders. 2. FY04 Budget,At Risk Items: LEXPRESS has been listed officially as an At Risk budget item and is likely to appear on an override vote this spring.Don Graham will determine when TAC's position might be presented to the Selectmen. Gail Wagner will draft a letter of concern regarding the budget threat to LEXPRESS. Clarification of schools' responsibility to provide transportation outside a two-mile radius will be confirmed. 3. Comprehensive Transportation Planning Meetings. Additional concerns regarding the relevancy of these meetings were raised. Don Graham commented that the LEXPRESS presentation focused on pertinent issues. 4. Transportation Demand Management. Beal Company is exploring an expansion at their Ledgemont complex on Hayden and Spring Street.An estimate of 350 additional employees was noted. The Town Planning Department organized this preliminary meeting. A link to the Anderson Transportation Center in Woburn will be explored with the 128 Business Council and M&L Transit. This link would include Hartwell Avenue. Sara Arnold noted that a Hanscom Air Base consultant is currently exploring commuter options and might be interested in collaborating. 5. Marketing. Bill Levison gave an update on the Lexington adaptation of the Smart Tripper student transit workbook. This resource will be promoted through notices to Lexington teachers and the PTA newsletter with mention of the LEXPRESS school group rate. Patriot's Day Parade. LEXPRESS will participate in the parade and will invite the Senior Center to join us, as in the past. It was noted that LEXPRESS should request placement in the first parade grouping and a waiting location near a bathroom to better accommodate our senior participants. 6. Transportation Meetings. South Lexington Transportation Association held its annual meeting on November 20.Don Graham and Gail Wagner attended. Gail Wagner also attended the annual Caravan Workshop and the monthly Regional Transportation Advisory Council(RTAC)meeting. 7. Annual Town Report. Don Graham was contacted for information. Gail Wagner will update the text from last year and submit it. 8. Media Access. Diane Pursley reported on a new town committee that is exploring an "Access Corporation,"a nonprofit cable channel to enhance community coverage. 9. Minutes from October 16,2002 were approved. 10. Next Meeting. Wednesday,December 11,2002.
