MINUTES – LEXINGTON CONSERVATION COMMISSION August 9, 2011
Commissioners present: Joyce Miller, Dick Wolk, David Langseth, Stew Kennedy

Others present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator; Louise Vinci, Conservation Clerk
Chair Joyce Miller opened the meeting at 7:30 pm in Selectmen Meeting Room, Town Office
Building
7:35 pm Cont. Hearing: NOI, 25 Robinson Road,
DEP# 201-831, BL 789; Map 83, Lot 29A
Motion made and seconded to continue hearing to August 23, 2011 at the
applicant’s request, 4-0 in favor.
7:36 pm Cont. Hearing: 29 Pearl Street,
DEP# 201-820, BL 778; Map 29, Lot 31A
Present for the applicant: David Sperduto, Wetlands Identification
Mr. Sperduto submitted a revised plan and questioned if regulations required
infiltration for this project as proposed. The Commission responded infiltration
would be required for the proposed project. The Commission also discussed with
Mr. Sperduto the feasibility of placing infiltration in various areas on the property
and made suggestions as to how the project may be revised to come closer to the
intent of the Wetland Protection Act.
Motion made and seconded to continue hearing to September 6, 2011 at the
applicant’s request, 4-0 in favor.
8:16 pm Plan Change: 1332 Massachusetts Avenue,
DET 10-21, Map 39, Lot 5
Administrator Mullins apprized the Commission of a plan change to expand a
gravel parking area of off Tavern Lane.
Motion made and seconded to approve as a field change, 4-0 in favor.
8:19 pm Permission request to use Paint Mine for Sept. 24, 2011 bike event,
Administrator Mullins told the Commission that the event would be sponsored by
the Burlington Conservation Commission. It would not be a race but be held as an
educational tool to teach riders how to use the bike trail with out impacting the
surrounding areas.

Motion made and seconded to grant permission to use Paint Mine Conservation
Area during event, 4-0 in favor.
